Thursday, March 16 - Good-bye kids, Hello Lily Belle
The kids had been asking for Dunkin Donuts all week, so
they stopped and picked some up on the way to the boat. We enjoyed doughnuts, played Battle, then
went to McDonalds's for lunch. Danny is so glad the kids like McDonald's so he
can get his hamburger fix
We rode with Jeannie in the rental car back to the
Visitor Center to get information about museums. I admit to a few tears as she drove
away. It has been wonderful having them here
and I miss them so much!
The Visitor Center had lots of good information, so we
explored a little then walked back through part of the historic area to the
boat. The only activity for the
afternoon was applying the name decal to the back of our dinghy, front will be soon. She is now officially "Lily
Belle."
A small American Cruise Ship tied up at the end of our
dock about noon and has stayed throughout the day. I have always wanted to take a river cruise.
I am cruising rivers, my cruise boat is just not quite this big.
