We Almost Leave Vero Beach
Last night we had filled up with water, put the bikes
back on the boat, we wanted to be ready for an early start this morning. As we were trying to decide how to get all
the ropes untied without leaving me at the dock (with the high wind, we had
used several extra ropes), Greg next door came out and started telling horror
stories about his travel in high winds.
We decided to re-evaluate. The
Weather Channel App had been revised since we checked last night, it now showed
even higher winds. Result of re-evaluation - stay another day.
Dave and Cher have a car here, so they had offered to take use anywhere we needed to
go. Since we stayed, we decided to take
them up on their offer. We needed butane
cylinders for the grill, so she took us to Home Depot - we bought six! Danny doesn't like to be without his grill.
The marina has a beautiful pool, but it has been too
chilly and way too windy to take advantage of it. We relaxed on the boat, read, crocheted, then
grilled bratwurst for dinner.
We leave tomorrow?
