Tuesday, July 18 - Laundry Day in Orillia
All the dirty
clothes in the wagon (thank you, Jennifer) are not ours, but we did have a
lot! We walked to the laundromat and started the clothes before we went
to breakfast. Laundromats in Canada are expensive! One large washer
load was $9.00, then drying was 25 cents for 3 minutes. At least that was
Canadian dollars.
We had a hard time
finding breakfast. The place I found on Google maps had moved, the fru-
fru place only had quiche, which is not breakfast in Danny’s book. We
walked at least a mile back and forth before finally finding a “real” breakfast
place. It was interesting to see that restaurants here put a patio on the
sidewalk, and move the walkway to the parking spaces.
To celebrate
Canada’s 150 birthday, Orillia had placed metal maple leaf sculptures
throughout town for groups to decorate.
The afternoon was
spent with dinghies. Gil and Deb had not used theirs since they started
the Loop, so it took a bit of setting up. The ride itself was wonderful,
gave us an up-close look at the scenery.
