Osprey Marina
provided bagels and English muffins for breakfast, in addition to a goody bag
with a bottle of pepper jelly. Nice touches.
Our GPS was showing
Myrtle Beach, but you can tell from these swing bridge pictures that we weren't
downtown by any means!
This Clarion Hotel
played a part in our Great Loop adventure! Danny and I stayed here 26
years while attending a surprise birthday for our dear friend from Farm Bureau
days, Benjie Rhoad. I was intrigued by the boats traveling the
intracoastal and kept wishing I could be on one of them. And now I am!
Just some of the
homes along this stretch.
More unusual
boats.
Danny is not fond
of pink houses. We have seen many on our trip, but this one takes the
pink prize. The boat and vehicle were even pink!
New design for a
pontoon boat, and a not-so-new shrimp boat.
We finally saw some
"normal" houses in Supply, NC, then we were back to the big ones!
Doesn't this look
like a great place to play?
We stopped for the
night at South Harbor Marina in Southport, NC. This Coast Guard boat
pulled in just as we did. It was a buoy tender, which means it takes care
of the buoys that mark the channels. We appreciate their work.
I love this picture
of Danny walking back to the boat after checking us in.
And Ells' Island at
the dock, with the beautiful marshes beyond.
