Friday, May 12 - Leaving Portsmouth - Kind
Of
The weather was
still yucky so we decided to stay put for another day.
One good thing
about the rainy weather - the noise from the boat yard just across from us
stopped. It was very loud and very constant the first day we were
here. I guess they are working inside now. Our friend at the office
said the work was supposed to take a couple of months, but it's been there a
year.
While we were
hanging out watching the rain, Danny Googled the boat just across from
us. It's for sale for only $3,000,000. Any takers?
We needed
groceries. The people in the marina office had offered to take us to the
store, so we took them up on the offer. Danny wore one of our very
special "Ellis Island/UGA" shirts that our wonderful cousins Kip and
Jim ordered for us. Aren't they great?!
Another sign to add to my collection. This one was hanging in the marina office.
Of course Danny
wanted steamed shrimp, and Harris Teeter was the closest store that sold
them. We shopped, paid, and were back at the car when we realized we had
left the shrimp at the seafood counter!
Frozen pizza for
supper. We don't have room in the freezer to store one, so we left it on
the counter until time to cook dinner. Danny thought this one was so
pretty.
