Sunday, April 23 - Fishing Day
We started our
Sunday with brunch at the marina restaurant, complete with a Bloody Mary
bar. Then we were ready to fish! Charles Googled fishing spots and
we headed out to drop a line. We tried several different spots, but the
fish must have been on vacation - we didn't get a bite. We enjoyed the scenery,
looking out to the ocean.
When we got back to
the marina, Charles and Stephanie walked two docks over to fish from
there. We waited a while, then walked over to check on them. Both
had funny expressions and offered us their poles - they were both caught on the
bottom.
Danny went back to
the boat to get the dinghy to save the lines, then took Charles and Stephanie
for a dinghy driving lesson.
Our marina was
public, but connected to the Wild Dunes Marina, so Charles and Stephanie took
the dinghy, Lily Belle, back into Wild Dunes to see the ritzy boats and houses.
We grilled some of
the wonderful steaks that Henry and Linda Wall brought us for dinner, and
chilled on the boat! What a life!
