Friday, March 31 - LONG Bike Ride!
The sacrificial
anode is in, and rather than take the marina car, we decided to ride the
bikes. It was about 4 1/2 miles each way, but it's very flat. We
were pedaling against a strong wind on the way out, but we made it! As we
were checking out, I asked the clerk about a place to eat lunch. She
recommended taking a right, going over the bridge, and there would be lots of
restaurants. We looked to our right and saw a long, inclining bridge and
decided to go back to the boat to eat.
This street runs in
front of the Ponce de Leon monument. I just love these trees and
moss! I am so glad we have had out bikes so we could explore.
Repair update -
they have finished painting the gel coat, and were getting ready to hang the
back panel when Danny noticed that it was over an inch too long. Either
they hadn't noticed, or hoped we wouldn't notice. They don't know Danny
very well. They still think they can finish Monday.
