Wednesday, June 7 - Chillin' In Brick, NJ
Biking back to the
marina yesterday, I passed two restaurants advertising breakfast, one was
called "Junkyard Dog." Of course that's the one we chose.
The theme inside was Corvettes, the owner has a business restoring Corvettes.
There was a drive-in movie sound box, car seats for chairs, an old car door for
the chalkboard - it was an interesting place.
The breakfast
sandwich came on a hard roll. When I questioned the waitress, she said it
was really a Kaiser roll, and that people rave about them and come back for
them when they come back from the south. She also said that New York
water is what makes the rolls and the pizza dough so special. I decided
to try it, and it was delicious! I would eat one every day. It was
very light and soft, I have no idea why anyone would call them "hard
rolls."
The sun came
out! It was still cool and windy, but even that is more tolerable when
you have sunshine. There were lots of kids playing on the playground
beside our dock.
Danny spent the
afternoon replacing the seal on the front head. He is really a talented
guy!
He has mastered.
New pattern for the zipper pulls. I told you he was talented.
