Sunday, September 3 - Pentwater Day 3

Sunday, September 3 - Pentwater Day 3

When we pulled in Friday, Looper friends said the weather looked rough for a few days, so we weren’t too surprised to be here another day.

Two people when we pulled in Friday had recommended the hamburgers at the Brown Bear, so we headed there for lunch.  Danny tried a hamburger topped with BBQ, and it was great!
We took more pictures of downtown.  There were lots of people and cars around since it’s Labor Day week-end.

I thought the boat we saw on our dinghy ride had lots of fishing poles, but look at all these poles at the municipal marina!

Now THIS is a laundromat!!  It is in the marina office building, but obviously open to the whole town.  One man said his kids and grandkids had just left town and he did 8 loads in less than two hours.  That must be some kind of record.

Docktails!  Phyllis and Sonny on Corkscrew pulled in this afternoon, so they joined the 5 boats of us that were already here.  I hadn’t planned ahead and the local market is very expensive, so I  took an elaborate dish of pretzel rods.  They were a hit.  It’s so much fun when the group has been together enough to get to know each other and kid around.

I love this tree!  It’s right beside our boat so I have admired it for the last two days.  Something about the curves of the trunk and limbs.
