Sunday, August 6 - Fish!!!

Finally we are leaving Gore Bay.  It was an OK stop for 2 days, but 4 days was a little too much. 

We headed back into the North Channel and turned west.  All of us were ready to anchor out after being docked for four nights, so Danny and Gil found a place in Rozelle Bay.  

We couldn’t get too close to the shore because of the depth, but the location turned out to be perfect for Danny.  He caught five beautiful small mouth bass.  All of them were 3-4 pounds, and the largest one was 18 1/2 inches.  We were so excited!  We have a “mess” of fish now. For sure.  Can’t wait to cook them.

When we anchor out, we usually “raft up,” meaning we tie the boats together.  That way Danny and Gil can discuss the route for the next day. 

I will miss the beautiful night skies when we leave Canada.
