Friday, August 4 - Still in Gore Bay
Slow day, still
waiting on the wind to calm down.
Gil heard that
Split Rail Brewery had Hawberry Beer on tap today, so of course we had to go
down and try it. Hawberries are plentiful around here, and legend has it
that early settlers survived a bad winter eating solely these berries. There
is even a Hawberry Festival in Little Current. The beer was surprisingly
good.
We rode our bikes
down the shore road but there wasn’t much to see. 
Deb and Gil bought
fresh white fish at the Farmers Market this morning, and Danny fried them for
dinner. They were awesome even without fries.
